About the Opportunity
Our client is a dynamic law firm whose clients include banks, institutions, entrepreneurs, corporations, start-ups and investors. Recognized as one of McLean’s Fastest Growing Companies in Canada, lawyers at the firm act as business advisors capable of providing curated legal and business advice on a personalized level. There is a current need for a senior lawyer with 10 or more years of experience to join its Finance Group. A lawyer hired in this position will be involved in meaningful, complex and sizeable finance transactions and will also have the opportunity of mentoring junior associates. Experience in lendor side financings would be ideal but those with experience in borrower side financings would also make excellent candidates. Ottawa based candidates are preferred but our client will also consider those not residing in Ottawa and work remotely. An incredible opportunity to join a thriving and growing business law firm!
Duties include but are not limited to:
- Corporate financing
- Project financing
- Real estate financing
- Equipment financing
About You
The successful candidate will have the following:
- Experience in a similar high-caliber legal practice
- 10 or more years of experience
- Exceptional communication skills
- The ability to work in a fast-paced team
- The ability to manage multiple projects at the same time
- A commitment to exceeding client expectations
- Membership to the Ontario Bar
- Book of business would be an asset but not a requirement
