About the Opportunity
We are currently recruiting for a Senior AI Data Scientist for our west-end client. HQ'd in Kanata, this software company has several offices worldwide to serve their global client base. Reporting to the Software Development Manager, this person will join a growing agile team of skilled Software Engineers, AI/ML Engineers, and Data Scientists in the development of a mission-critical, AI-powered digital inteligence solution. Above all, they value attitude and aptitude over the perfect technical fit.
Although this role largely involves the fine-tuning of custom AI models using Python, they value attitude, aptitude, and problem-solving ability over the perfect technical fit.
This is a permanent position with one of the region's top employers. They employ a hybrid model consisting of two days/week in their Kanata office.
About You
The successful candidate will have the following:
- B.S. degree or higher in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Mathematics, Data Science or similar field
- 7+ years of data science experience ideally with extensive use of Python
- Experience fine-tuning AI models; ideally LLMs and RAG is a bonus
- Team-first mentality as well as the ability to work autonomously
