Our client in the Central Ottawa area is seeking a Property Accountant to join their dynamic, growing organization on a full-time, permanent basis. This organization proudly puts a focus on professional growth within a transparent, team-oriented culture.
Duties include but are not limited to:
- Full-cycle Accounts Payables and Accounts Receivables, including accruals and processing and recording of expenses and prepaids
- Processing payments, applying payments to overdue accounts, updating reports as needed
- Preparing bank deposits
- Track and manage pre-authorized payments
- Reconciling bank and credit card accounts
- Process bi-weekly payroll, both union and non-union, including deductions and remittances
- Posting of journal entries, working closely with the General Ledger
- Production of Financial Statements, cash flow management
- Providing reporting as needed
- Assisting with Month and Year End closing
The successful candidate will have the following:
- Completion of a post-secondary degree or diploma in Business Administration or a related stream
- 3+ years of experience in full-cycle Accounting
- Experience with Yardi software
- Exposure to Real Estate or Property Management industry
- Strong problem-solving skills
- Highly organized, strong attention to detail
- Strong communication skills (English mandatory)
- Excellent interpersonal skills, self-starter, collaborative
