About the Opportunity
Great opportunity to work with a well-respected electrical contractor that specializes in ICI projects in Ottawa and Eastern Ontario. Our client has been working as an electrical contractor in Ottawa for over 40 years and consists of 130 full time staff between the field and their offices. They deliver full scale electrical services including new construction, fit up, renovation, maintenance and emergency services.
This position has become available due to company growth and the project coordinator will be reporting directly to a Senior Project Manager. You will be located from the office in the east end of Ottawa and will be involved in many projects simultaneously.

As a Project Coordinator you will report directly to the Senior Project Manager and your duties will include the following:
- Handling paperwork in a timely manner
- Keep up to date with new products and services
- Review and process shop drawings
- Track all ingoing and outgoing project documentation
- Coordinate project close out requirements
- Follow up and review purchase and back orders
- Organize project mechanical schedules in Microsoft Project
- Ensure Construction Quality Control on certain projects as required
- Review and process RFIs
- Attend and record meeting minutes with Project Managers
- Provide technical assistance to field staff
- Be familiarized with estimating procedures
- Coordinate approved change orders with appropriate departments and clients
- Occasional site visits
- 1-3 years of electrical or general construction experience
- Technical Degree in construction or electrical engineering
- $60,000 - $75,000 depending on experience
