Our client, a National law firm, has a need for a registered Patent Agent with a background in electrical engineering.

This is an excellent opportunity to join an established Patent Agency unit within a thriving National law firm. An existing book of business would be an asset but is not required. About the Opportunity

- Drafting of patents in the electrical field
- Patent prosecution
- Business development
- Possible litigation support when required
The successful candidate will have the following:
- Advanced degree in either electrical engineering, computer sciences or software engineering
- Be a registered Canadian Patent Agent
- Possess a minimum of 3 years experience as a Patent Agent
- Previous experience in a law firm, IP boutique or in-house setting
- Possess excellent drafting skills
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- US Patent Agent qualification would be an asset
- Bilingualism an asset but not required
