About the Opportunity

Our client, a National law firm, has a need for a registered Patent Agent with a background in electrical engineering.  

Duties include but are not limited to:
  • Drafting of patents in the electrical field
  • Patent prosecution
  • Business development
  • Possible litigation support when required  
About You

The successful candidate will have the following:
  • Advanced degree in either electrical engineering, computer sciences or software engineering
  • Be a registered Canadian Patent Agent
  • Possess a minimum of 3 years experience as a Patent Agent
  • Previous experience in a law firm, IP boutique or in-house setting
  • Possess excellent drafting skills
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • US Patent Agent qualification would be an asset
  • Bilingualism an asset but not required
About the Job

This is an excellent opportunity to join an established Patent Agency unit within a thriving National law firm.  An existing book of business would be an asset but is not required.  A group of two or more Agents would also be considered.
