My client, a hospital in the Ottawa area, is looking for a Network Admin to join their team. The ideal candidate will love all things networking. Experience with security/system administration is an asset. The candidate must be comfortable working in a bilingual environment (French and English). You will complete documentation of the network topology and its main physical (e.g. switches; controllers; access points; etc.) and logical (e.g. VLANs; IP addressing; firewalls; etc.) components and ensure the transfer of this documentation and related knowledge to the Information Technology and Systems department staff.
About You
The successful candidate will have the following:
- Bachelor's degree in computer science, information technology or information and management systems with a specialization in networking
- Have a CISCO certification (CCNA or CCNP)
- Demonstrate knowledge of information systems used in a hospital setting
- Demonstrate knowledge of CISCO DNA, WLC, FirePower, ISE and Umbrella platforms
- Demonstrate knowledge of SIEM security platforms
- Knowledge of CISCO PBX phone systems and Microsoft PowerShell, Java, C)
- Knowledge of the Service Now platform
- Certification in ITIL, COBIT
About the Job
- A minimum of three (3) years of experience in network administration and network architecture design
- Experience with major market trends in network evolution and integration, particularly VoIP convergence for voice and telecommunications
- Proficient experience with standards and protocols governing computer networks, both wired and wireless
- Knowledge of the OSI model and its application in the hospital environment and related security elements
