About the Opportunity
Our client is one of the leading employment and labour law firms in Ottawa. There is a current need for an associate with 3 or more years’ experience to join their team.
Duties include but are not limited to:
- Represent employers in collective bargaining, mediations, arbitrations and civil litigation
- Advise clients directly on issues including employment standards, human rights, employment contracts, health and safety, workplace policies, HR strategies, education law and language rights
- Draft legal memoranda, opinions, briefs, pleadings and other legal documents
- Be actively involved in business development
The successful candidate will have the following:
- 3 or more years’ experience in labour and employment law
- Those experienced in relevant areas of civil litigation will be considered
- Be an active member of the Law Society of Ontario
- Bilingualism would be an asset as would being a member of the Quebec Bar
