About the Opportunity
Parker Huggett has partnered with an established General Contractor with over 30 years of experience delivering high-quality ICI construction projects across Ontario. This GC is part of a larger group of companies encompassing civil works, condo development and asset management. Projects include transit, LTC and retirement homes, hospitals, recreation centers and government administrative buildings. Project values range from $10M-$100M. In the past 30 years, our client has successfully delivered 200+ projects in these spaces. With a new opportunity opening up in the HSE department, Parker Huggett is searching for an established and experienced Health & Safety Manager
About You
The successful candidate will have the following:
The Health & Safety Manager supports the implementation of all Health & Safety Programs within the company. This position is committed to maintaining a safe environment for all team members. This position will provide leadership, guidance, and expertise to all projects with respect to the development and implementation of health & safety strategies, standards, policies and legislative requirements. Reporting to the President of the firm, the Manager will lead the safety team to a Best-in-Class standard.
Compensation includes a competitive base salary, car allowance, holiday and flex days, RRSP matching, discretionary bonus and a comprehensive health benefits program.

About You
The successful candidate will have the following:
- Passionate about health and safety in the ICI construction sector
- Strong leadership ability and able to ensure HSE policy is adhered to while understanding project needs
- Attention to detail, accurate report writing, and excellent time management skills
- Able to commute across the GTA to oversee ongoing projects
- NCSO, Gold Seal and/or CRSP designations preferred
- Deep understanding of HSE policy requirements for Ontario
- COR experience an asset
