Duties include but are not limited to:
- Perform time and attendance processing, interface with payroll system
- Ensure accurate and timely bi-weekly timesheet processing while maximizing efficiencies, maintaining operational standards and adhering to department policies and procedures
- Process CRA Source Deductions, Union Deductions
- Process EHT/WSIB/WCB, remittances, etc.
- Input changes to employee payroll records maintained in the payroll system
- Process new hire records, termination records
- Administer Records of Employment
- Administer Benefits plan enrollment
- Answer staff inquiries related to HR and Payroll in a professional, timely manner
- Keep up to date with payroll best practices and legislative changes
- Conduct other Payroll, HR, and Administrative duties as needed.
- Input changes to employee payroll records maintained in the payroll system
The successful candidate will have the following:
- Fluently Bilingual in both official languages (English, French)
- 2+ years of experience in a similar role
- Experience with Union payroll a strong asset
- PCP Designation would be a strong asset
- Strong attention to detail, organizational skills, and ability to prioritize
- Excellent communication skills- written, oral, comprehension
- Strong problem-solving skills
- Excellent interpersonal skills, self-starter, collaborative
- Understanding & application of confidentiality
