Our client in the Markham region is looking for an Accounting Manager to join their team. This individual will lead a small team and report to the company's president. The ideal candidate will have experience in small to medium-sized companies. You must have hands-on experience handling end-to-end accounting.

Our client in the Markham region is looking for an Accounting Manager to join their team. This individual will lead a small team and report to the company's president. The ideal candidate will have experience in small to medium-sized companies. You must have hands-on experience handling end-to-end accounting.
Duties include but are not limited to:
- Develops and directs an effective system of accounting and related controls for all associated companies
- Assists and coordinates with the company’s external accountants in their annual review of the financial statements
- Ensures all federal and provincial tax reporting is prepared and filed on time with the appropriate government agencies
- Maintains positive relationships with internal and external stakeholders, including shareholders, banks, external accountants, suppliers and customers
The successful candidate will have the following:
- Accounting expertise (5+ yrs.) and a CPA or CMA
- Proficient experience with cash forecasting and ensuring adequate funds are available to meet current and future obligations
- Leadership experience and experience working with stakeholders
